karkom wristwarmers

These wristwarmers were inspired by a swatch I did of Crocuses from Book 5 Specialty of The Stitch Collection by Debbie O'Neill.

yarn:  Quince Tern "Columbine"
(75% wool 25% silk)

yarn: Madelinetosh Sport "Foxglove"
(100% merino)

yarn:  Juliespins MCN 430 "Strange Beauty"
(80% merino 10% nylon 10% cashmere)
"Karkom" is the Hebrew word for "crocus," and you can see pictures of the lovely winter crocus that grows in Israel here and here and here.

And you can find the free pattern for Karkom Wristwarmers here!

Beautiful wristwarmers! Great stitch pattern and I love how they scallop at the edges. Thanks for sharing the pattern!

Hi Robin, your mitts are very lovely. I like the solid ones best because the pattern shows up so well. You do great work! I'm wearing your socks right now.

They are really lovely! So feminine! No wonder they were inspired by nature!
