january 6 ~ six oranges
So oranges really do grow on trees! This cluster of six oranges from the tree in our son's backyard squeezed into some mighty tasty juice, I'll tell you.
It was so strange driving down a main street and seeing fallen oranges strewn all over the ground in front of commercial businesses. Not unlike apples on lawns up north. Yet, on first sight, very curious to someone who had never seen an orange tree before.
On two separate walks through the neighborhood, residents offered us oranges and grapefruits that were destined for trash. So guess what we have in boxes in our cold Colorado garage? We brought back a little bit of Arizona with us :)

Fresh juice right off the tree sounds delicious!
They look beautiful! That really would be strange to look out the window and see an orange tree.
:) Love your oranges. I used to have a cocktail tree. That means it carries more than one citrus fruit. The one I had was lemon and lime tree, I love the oranges here. We also have a lot of lemon trees. It is out special sunshine!
What a lovely delight!
