pastel poofie-ness

Pastel poofie-ness is what I call this pile of airy fluff!

The fiber is 50/50 merino/cashmere, softly spun, thick and thin. The resulting yarn is a relaxed 180 yards of dk to aran weight. With about half the roving yet to be spun, that will allow for a generous amount of total yardage.

All windows were installed before the storm system arrived bringing our first significant snow and cold of the year. We continue to red up the house, wondering what changes 2011 may hold. We remain standing firm; trusting in the Lord in all circumstances; resting in Him. Blessings this New Year to you and yours!

windows

We're having new windows installed this week. Yesterday they completed the front kitchen window and the two tall livingroom windows.

Today and tomorrow, the downstairs patio door and the two front bedroom windows (upstairs) will be installed. We placed the order in October, wondering what the weather would be like at December's end. With only 4-1/2 inches of snow so far this season, and that weeks ago, it's my understanding that we now have moderate drought conditions. Perhaps we'll have some of the white stuff with the system that's moving in on Thursday. If so, we'll enjoy watching it through our new windows!
